North Shore is the perfect destination for those who love watersports. Nestled right on the shore of Lake Almanor, we provide easy access to the lake for our guests. Boat slips, fishing boats, and kayaks/canoes are available for rent on a daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis. So bring your favorite fishing poles and try to catch the trout, bass, salmon, and catfish. Or, go sailing, kayaking, parasailing, or water skiing.

When you're finished playing in the water, there are plenty of things to do on land as well. You can ride your bike along the campground roads, walk your dogs, or play horse shoes. Little ones may enjoy an afternoon at our newly completed playground. There are also many scenic trails around the lake that will lead hikers and backpackers to some extraordinary views of nature.

North Shore Campground is less than two miles from the town of Chester, which offers a variety of quaint bric-a-brac and antique stores. Chester also offers a variety of fine restaurants from which to choose, as well as a large grocery store (Holiday Market).
