North Shore has three guest houses available. Each combines rustic mountain appeal with modern amenities. Osprey Retreat Cabin is lakefront with breathtaking views of Lake Almanor; it features 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Mountain Quail Cabin has beautiful lake views and easy access to the water; it features 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Chipmunk Cabin is centrally located, mere steps from the water's edge; it features 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Each cabin features a fully furnished kitchen with microwave and dishwasher and a deck with a picnic table and a barbecue (what we provide). Quail and Chipmunk both feature complimentary wifi access. Boat docks are within walking distance, and a boat slip may be rented on a daily or weekly basis. Canoes and fishing boats are also available for rent. North Shore cabins are perfect for a family vacation, a fishing trip, or for a romantic getaway.

| Osprey Retreat is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house located right on the shore of Lake Almanor. The 1020 sq. ft. house has a large dining area with windows overlooking the lake, a large sitting area, and a fully equipped modern kitchen with breakfast bar. It also has a laundry room with full size washer and dryer. Each bedroom sleeps two adults. The master bedroom has a California King size bed and a walk-in closet. It is ensuite with a shower/tub combination. The living room sofa pulls out to a full size bed. The 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed, dresser and large closet. The 2nd bathroom features a shower/tub combination. Bed linens provided. Maid service not available. |   |

Outside, the house features both a covered porch and sun deck with fabulous lake views. There is a picnic table and barbeque. A few short steps bring you to your own private area of shoreline. Majestic pines with nesting ospreys lend a wonderful feeling of privacy to this spectacular location. Both the boat docks and the general store are within easy walking distance. Complimentary Internet access via WiFi hot spot and ethernet cable is available to Osprey guests at the campground book lending library.

Maximum occupancy for the cabin is four adults and two children. There is parking for up to two cars. Sorry, no pets and no smoking.
2008 Rates - Osprey Retreat Cabin
$225* daily (3-day minimum) or $1275* weekly. A 40% deposit is due at time of reservation with remaining balance due 60 days prior to arrival. 60 days notice of cancellation must be given in order to receive a 50% deposit refund. Checkin is after 3 p.m. and checkout is before 10 a.m. Refundable $100 cleaning/damage deposit due at time of check-in. The cabin is available April through October. Check availability. Outside, the cabin features a covered porch with barbecue and picnic table. The porch has expansive views of Lake Almanor. Mature aspen frame the cabin, providing shade from the afternoon sun. In the spring, mountain quail chicks can regularly be seen pecking their way toward the shore. The campground general store with laundry facilities are conveniently located a few steps away.

Chipmunk is the newest of our three guesthouses. The 550sq ft. house has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and is located close to the campground library and general store. The house has a breakfast bar, a small dining area and a large sitting area. It has a fully equipped modern kitchen with microwave and dishwasher.

Each bedroom sleeps two adults. The master bedroom has a Queen size bed. The second bedroom has a double bed. The bathroom features a shower/tub combination. Bed linens provided. Maid service not available.

Outside, the house has a small deck with a barbeque. The cabin is located amongst towering pines which provide afternoon shade. The lake is a 30 second walk. Chipmunk features complimentary WiFi Internet access. It also features a DVD player.
